Nuevas vistas desde el aire, volando desde la Ciudad de México hacia el Golfo de México. Arriba, el Popocatépetl e Iztaccíhuatl (foto 2) y el volcán Matlalcueitl, conocido como La Malinche o Malintzin, con la ciudad de Puebla oculta tras el volcán en esta vista. Abajo, el Pico de Orizaba (con altura un poco mayor a la del Popo), junto al volcán Sierra Negra, lugar donde se construyó el Gran Telescopio Milimétrico, el mayor radiotelescopio del mundo en su frecuencia. New aerial views, from a plane going from Mexico City towards the Gulf of Mexico. Above, the Popocatépetl and the Iztaccíhuatl (photo 2) and the Matlalcueitl volcano (also known as The Malinche or Malinztin), with the city of Puebla hidden behind in this view. Below, the Pico de Orizaba (which is a bit higher than the Popo) with the Sierra Negra volcano to the side. Partes del poniente de la Ciudad de México, con el Bosque de Chapultepec (aquí un mapa; se puede recorrer la vista arrastrando con el ratón y hacer zooms con la escala de la izquierda). Pueden verse, entre otros, el Auditorio Nacional, el Lago y el Castillo de Chapultepec. En la foto 45 se distingue el Paseo de la Reforma y, en la esquina superior derecha de la 47, la torre Latino, en el centro de la ciudad, como a la mitad del camino entre Chapultepec y el aeropuerto (el avión ya va muy bajo para entonces).
The western side of Mexico City with the Chapultepec woods (look here for a zoomable map; drag around with the mouse to see more of the city). One can see here the Auditorio Nacional and the Lake and Castle of Chapultepec. In shot 45, the Paseo de la Reforma is clearly visible and, to the upper right of 47, the Latino tower, which is downtown, halfway between Chapultepec and the airport (the plane is already flying pretty low by then).
