In 08 too, the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, and Trajan's Column, with the Church of the Holy Name of Mary (Chiesa del Santissimo Nome di Maria al Foro Traiano) on the background.

Below, photos of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major (Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore), one of Rome's main churches, and whose origins go back to the 4th century. The outside views are from the south(east), with the column of the Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore. In the lower right part of 09 and upper left part of 10, the stairs leading to the Crypt of the Nativity; also in 10, the 16th-century ceiling, seen from both ends of the basilica.
