Fotos de la ciudad eterna, Roma. En las imágenes 01 y 02, la Basílica de Santa María de los Ángeles y de los Mártires (Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri), del siglo XVI, diseñada por Miguel Ángel, y construida sobre una parte de las antiguas Termas de Diocleciano (estas Termas tenían capacidad para más de 3000 personas). En 01, detalles del reloj solar en el interior de la basilica; un poco arriba del centro de la foto de la parte inf. der. puede verse el agujero por donde entra el sol en su cenit, proyectando su luz sobre el meridiando marcado en el piso. En la parte inf. der. de 02, parte de las Termas que aún permanece, aunque sin el techo original, y ahora convertida en museo.
Photos of the eternal city, Rome. In images 01 and 02, the 16th-century Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs (Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri), designed by Michelangelo and built over parts of the Baths of Diocletian (these Baths had a capacity of more than 3000 people). In 01, details of the sundial inside the basilica; a little above the centre of the photo in the lower right corner can be seen the hole where sunlight comes in when the sun is at its cenit, projecting its light over the meridian line on the ground. In the lower right corner of 02, one part of the Baths that still remains, but without the original roof, and now is a museum.
