Lübeck, 2009 (1)

Inicia una serie de fotos de la ciudad alemana de Lübeck, famosa por sus mazapanes. Lübeck está al noreste de Hamburgo. En la imagen 01, unas vistas desde el tren, y la estación de trenes de Lübeck. En 02: una estatua del emperador Guillermo II (Wilhelm II); el Puente de las Figuras (Puppenbrücke, el primer puente de piedras en la ciudad); la iglesia de San Pedro (Petrikirche); y una maqueta de Holstentor como se veía en 1550 (aunque se dice que la puerta pudo originarse en 1376).
Start of a series of photos of the city of Lübeck, of marzipan fame. Lübeck is located to the northeast of Hamburg, Germany. In image 01, landscapes from the train, and the train station. In 02: statue of the emperor Wilhelm II; the Puppets Bridge (Puppenbrücke, Lübeck's first stone bridge); the church of St. Peter (Petrikirche); and a model of the Holstentor city gate as it was in the year 1550 (although the gate is believed to have originated in 1376).








En 03, una vista de Holstentor, una de las puertas de la ciudad antigua. Su inclinación es debido al hundimiento que ha sufrido con el tiempo (aquí hay más sobre esto, en inglés). Detrás se ven las torres (de izq. a der.) de las iglesias de Sta. María (Marienkirche), San Pedro (Petrikirche) y San Egidio (?) (Aegidienkirche). Compárese con esta foto, de 1958.
In 03, a view of the Holstentor, one of the ol city's gates. It's tilted because of sinking suffered through the years (more about it, here). Behind it, from left to right, the towers of the St. Mary (Marienkirche), St. Peter (Petrikirche) and St. Giles (Aegidienkirche) churches. Compare with this picture, from 1958.

En 04, la puerta Holstentor vista desde la ciudad, y los "Saltzspeicher" junto al río Trave, edificios de los siglos 16 a 18, donde se guardaba la sal proveniente de Lüneburg, antes de ser enviada por mar a otros puertos del mar Báltico. En la mitad sup. de 05, Petrikirche (aquí más información, en alemán, pero con fotos históricas muy buenas); la vista frontal de la iglesia es de hecho una composición de 2 fotos, pues no cabe en mi lente de 18 mm; en la parte inf. der., el museo de marionetas. En 06 puede verse al fondo la iglesia de San Jacobo (Jakobikirche), al norte de la ciudad.
In 04, the Holstentor gate seen from the city, and the "Salzspeicher" by the Trave river, 16th-18th century storehouses where salt coming from Lüneberg was kept until shipped to other ports in the Baltic sea. In the upper half of 05, Petrikirche (more on it, here, in German, but with very good historical pictures); the frontal view of the church is actually a composite of 2 photos, since it doesn't fit in my 18 mm lens; in the lower right part, the puppet museum. In 06 can be seen the tower of St. Jacob's church (Jakobikirche), to the north of the city.
